NEWS: Can coworking solve the I-70 skier traffic issue? #yes

Thanks to Paul Allen, a startup accelerator leader and one of our advisors, for posting this on LinkedIn. He says that co-working in Frisco is a solution to the I-70 skier traffic woes. We agree. And believe that ELEVATE is a game changer for our Front Range guests/members plus to our local community.

Here’s an excerpt:

ELEVATE offers skiers a way to avoid the traffic by giving them a professional place to work so they can adjust their arrival and departure times and avoid the traffic completely.

So on Monday when everyone heads to the office with sore backs from traffic Sunday night, you can ski Monday morning, work at ELEVATE all afternoon, and skip all the traffic.

Your own cozy mountain office

The space features wifi, shared printer, conference room, hot desks, private offices, cafe, patio — in 3,000 square feet with vaulted ceilings and amazing views of the mountains.

For a low monthly fee you also get workshops, evening meetups, and even ski meetups. And ELEVATE is negotiating discounts on equipment and lift tickets for members.

NEWS: Kickstarting our crowd-funding campaign

FRISCO, Colo. – Aug. 2014 – To kickstart the Colorado Rockies’ most ambitious co-working space to date, ELEVATE coSPACE is launching a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign that invites the community to help launch it through pledges ranging from $10 to $10,000.  With a goal of raising $10,000, pledge packages start at $10 for a social shout out and good karma to upwards of $10,000 for an Epic Pass (ski season pass), plane tickets and a six-month co-working membership. To pledge, visit Kickstarter at: http://kck.st/1oY8yV2

ELEVATE coSPACE, the open-concept, open-schedule, come-one, come-all workspace and community gathering place, is set to open Oct. 1 and will give startups, entrepreneurs, business owners, students, corporate workers and visitors to the surrounding mountain resort communities a place to work and gather in a flexible and more affordable way.

After months of scouting locations, the ELEVATE team found their dream space at 711 Granite Street in Frisco, Colo. The 3,000-square-feet, two-story space that features log beams, vaulted ceilings, natural light and inspiring artwork is the perfect spot for this unique co-working space.  As Wendy Basey, one of the founders, puts it, “the space is light, energetic and beautiful.”

And, just so you won’t miss that coffee shop environment, Bun in the Oven High Nutrient Bakery is operating a café with free coffee and fresh baked goods within the workspace. All that remains is to fill the space with modular desks, communal tables, private offices and conference tables. “That’s where you come in,” says Basey. The Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign will provide the financing for furniture, fixtures and equipment.

According to the ELEVATE team, “Our space has it all. It was worth the wait. We love it and we know you will love it too.”

Here’s why, it’s:

  • Convenient: Frisco, Colo. is centrally located off of I-70 on your way to Breckenridge, Vail, Copper Mountain, Keystone and Steamboat.
  • Professional: Members and guests have all of the amenities of a high-tech corporate office. High-speed WiFi, printer, scanner, copier and fax are all included.
  • Spacious: ELEVATE coSPACE offers 3,000 square feet of space with conference rooms, private desks, workstations, community tables and phone booths.
  • Plus, there’s free parking.

ELEVATE coSPACE is also designed to accommodate community gatherings and special events.

“It’s more than just a place to land your laptop or rent a workspace,” says the ELEVATE team. “ELEVATE coSPACE will offer classes, mentorship, meet ups and support to help guests and members elevate their work and rebalance their work and life. ELEVATE coSPACE is all about collaboration, connection and community.”

ELEVATE coSPACE is owned and operated by an all-female team comprised of:

Julia Landon: chef and owner of Bun in the Oven High Nutrient Bakery;

Amy Kemp: founder of Mountaintop Media, a social, PR and content agency;

Wendy Basey: a Colorado certified business consultant and owner of Biz Bolts, an entrepreneurial start up program.
